"Style" a la Lauren & Mark

I had the privilege of photographing Lauren & Marks wedding on 10-10. They are the couple in two of our "Shorts" named "Practice" & "Revolver" (which you can check out about three posts below). Just by those "Shorts" you can tell they were very much "into it"!

Everything was personalized that day. From all of the fall decorations at the Church which Mark designed and set up (Marks family owns Dietrich Gardens), to his Uncle (?) performing the ceremony. We even went back to their home to take the formals which came out fantastic.

At the Gershon Room at the Old G.Fox building in Hartford, the reception was all about "style". We've shot there several times since it opened and I love it. It has a warm 1930s-40s Art Deco retro feel to it. Very unique just like the couple.
The reception itself was a knock out. There was a three piece jazz band (a DJ too), great partying and just an all around warm, happy vibe. I must admit though that the tears started pouring out when Mark danced with his mother to a slideshow of his recent "Tour of Duty" in Djibouti, outside of Somalia. That, was very emotional. Since I just got the "OK" from Mark I have added it.

Oh yeah, one more thing... It was a wicked windy, and cold October day and I just want to say "thanks for toughing it out" to the whole wedding crew, especially all the girls!

Enjoy!
