Julie & Jacques

I recently viewed the movie "Julie & Julia". It reminded me of the opportunities I had to photograph Julia when she came to town to either promote a new book or show. She was in my opinion a very accessible personality. She always was the lady with a smile on her face always making time to meet her fans and have a glass of wine with them.

Here is a great shot I took when she was promoting a new book & show with Jacques Pepin.

Twin Towers

For over 30 years I enjoyed flying (almost) every Sunday with my Dad in his Piper Comanche (PA N259P). We flew everywhere. Breakfast on Block Island, Vacations to Disney World (when it first opened way back when), Air Shows in Pennsylvania, to name a few.

Flying down the Hudson on our way to Atlantic City or other Southernly destinations, I had the unique opportunity to enjoy the NYC skyline from a near 500 or so feet. The view was absolutely breathtaking and is imprinted in my mind forever! Luckily, I had "discovered" photography and was able to capture some great images. Sadly, the plane is gone (Regretfully, I could not afford that luxury today). Thankfully, my Dad and Mom are still here along with our memories and images!

My rendering of The Twin Towers from my BW Photograph taken at about 500 ft or so flying up the Hudson River back to Tweed New Haven Airport.

A Moment of Silence...

We just found out Thanksgiving Eve that a student in our daughters school met with a tragic and untimely death. She was only 12 years old. Although we did not personally know her we are left with a deep sadness in our hearts and our sincerest thoughts go out to her parents, family and friends.
It goes without saying that Lori and I, being parents of three beautiful children, are quite shaken as is the whole community. It is a beyond sobering reminder to all of us that life is so brief and is not about the insignificant things like an I-phone, or Xbox, or the latest clothing fad, sporty car, fancy job, size of your bank account, how big your house is... Those mean absolutely nothing. What means everything is the people in our lives, our parents, spouse, children sisters, brothers, grandparents, friends. In what has become and absolutely crazy and almost unbearable world, please make sure you take the time to give them a gigantic hug and tell them all "I love you".

Art comes to life. Work in progress...

We are constantly working on new ideas which are on the cutting edge of photography and which push the limits of our creativity. This short film is no exception. We will be adding new vignettes, as soon as we create them, and will be offering them soon in select packages for 2010! Give us a call if you would like us to create one for your wedding day.

We hope you enjoy... Please let us know what you think and pass along the link!
